It's always exciting when the plump little Italian plums are in season. I love their full and fertile oval shapes and the frosty bluish bloom on their dark shiny skin.

This little berry basket offer a great complimentary contrast in both color and texture - green is opposite purple on the color wheel and the dull papery texture contrasts with shiny plum skins.
