Blue cheese on flow blue china: Blue on Blue! Fortunately it was not also "heartache on heartache" as this one was a joy to paint.
Painting blue cheese with it's craggy surface felt like painting the moon! But I loved seeing the difference inn the way the moldy blue presents on the top of the wheel compared with how it is exposed on the cut side.
For this china pattern I think I managed to indicate the essence of the pattern without literally rendering it. That's a big leap for me!
And finally, the drapery was a nice simple smooth contrast, setting the stage for all the textures above,
