How can anyone resist this lumpy heirloom tomato?! I couldn't, it called out to me at a farm stand. But even more special is the flow blue cup which reminds me of a friend who always used a similar antique cup to take her tea. She was a wonderful woman who supported the arts and especially women in the arts. I always admired her handle-less teacup and when she passed I knew I wanted to find a similar one to paint. And to remind me of her generous nature. This is my first painting featuring this special cup but I know there will be more.
