This is another of the compositions created with elements from a friend's vintage barber tool collection. It's one of seven paintings featuring elegant straight razors and bushy shaving brushes. I just love defining the delicate hairs of those brushes.
This one took a dramatic turn. It was meant to illustrate the phrase, "shave and a haircut, two bits" but when I added a red handkerchief to create some contrast and drama... it seemed only natural to call it Blood Money.
This painting sold pretty quick but there a couple other barber themed paintings that are available if that's what you fancy.
