This is the first of the several antique straight razor paintings featuring antique pieces from a friends amazing collection of vintage barber tools. Such a treasure trove!
It's hard to compose a painting that shows off the razor sharp characteristics of these implements and since it was painting during the fall when pumpkins were everywhere, this composition pretty much composed itself.
