This composition features my favorite cheeky chick, up to her classic sarcastic shenanigans. The idea was hatched some time ago but it took awhile to gather some of these vintage elements. The most elusive being the old fashioned restaurant check spike.
Keep an eye out for new compositions where this sweet chick (and other vintage ceramic critters) will hold sway.
Chick Please was juried into the American Women Artists Museum exhibit at Steamboat Art Museum in Steamboat Springs in two years ago. AWA has an initiative to have more women artists represented in museums and to that end they are committed to 25 exhibits in 25 museums over the next 25 years. It was an honor to exhibit in the exceptional Steamboat Art Museum exhibit.
